Batmobile creator George Barris created 12 of these ‘Bugazzi’s’ in 1972 and it was marketed as ‘the finest motorcar in the world’. It featured gold upholstery, Persian rugs, Italian marble, a television and a built-in bar. This is only one of 2 thought to survive and has been treated to a money no object restoration. It has 45,000 original miles on the clock with extensive documentation. Definitely not to everyone’s taste but Barris is starting to be recognised by collectors – the Batmobile sold for $4.62million last year.
