For sale by lap63 (lap63.co.uk) is this fabulous 1954 Citroen Traction Avant dirt racer replica. Built by an enthusiast between 1980 and 2007, the car features great details like Alouette II helicopter seats! £25,000.
This very rare twin-engined 2CV is for sale in Germany. It’s an older restoration but has only traveled 1500km since then. Only 694 of these were ever made and very few still exist, hence that slightly crazy price.
We are big fans of patina here at PistonJuice – we are also fans of the Rat Rod look and this Citroen could make an epic Rat Rod surf van without too much trouble. Located in Germany, the ad states it ‘needs a bit of work’ but it is a very early and desirable AZU version with the rippled bonnet. This could be a hugely entertaining ride for someone who has the skills and cash to get it on the road.
A very special car in a very special location – the Classic Remise Berlin is home to this prototype Citroen GS Birotor. This was Citroen’s foray into Wankel engine design which like Mazda and NSU before it resulted in dramatic and crippling unreliability. This was so bad for Citroen that they tried to buy as many of these cars back from their owners as they could, making them very rare now. This is one of the first prototypes and has been completely mechanically restored despite covering less that 1000km since new. The exterior has been left as original to keep it’s impossible to reproduce prototype finish. Expensive but am almost unique piece of Citroen history.
