1960 Peugeot 403
Where: www.lacentrale.fr, Paris, France
Even old Columbo could never have deduced that his old Peugeot 403 could ever be worth this kind of cash – but this is not unique amongst the examples we have seen for sale in France. Clearly the French have taken this car to their hearts and prices are rising. This bodes well for the later 404 Pininfarina Cab that is still around for circa €25k, which still looks like a bargain and is even better looking to boot. This blue example comes with a sumptuous tan leather interior and the patina on the seats looks original. The car has 60,000 miles on the clock but it’s not clear if this is supported by docs – it should be at this price.
Price: €69,000 (£50,700)
