We know very little about this Karmann Ghia except that it is incredible! It will cross the block at Mecum’s October 8-10th auction in Chicago. A huge amount of bespoke bodywork has been done, including suicide doors, extended and flared rear arches plus those amazing rear light housings. The engine is fully polished and the interior has been completely upgraded, too. We’ll let you know what it fetched after the auction finishes on the 11th October.

Deeply cool VW T2 van for sale in Norway – properly lowered with Safari windows and a 1600cc engine. A little rust around the front cabin but otherwise solid. We think this is worth every penny – yesterday we saw a Samba for sale in the UK for £100,000… Doesn’t come with the roof rack but we’d do our damndest to get it included!

This Scirocco has been restored, the vendor stating that only the front wings needed replacing. Parts for these cars as so expensive when you can find them, that restoration is often not viable, hence the high price of good cars. Unfortunately this one is an automatic, but if that’s your thing then this must be one of the best available.

For sale in Germany is this suspiciously cheap looking VW Notchback, resplendent in gloss black with chrome wheels and a great stance. The ad says the car has covered 65,000km but that is all the detail that’s there. Call the vendor and if it sounds good hitch up that trailer and get over to Germany!

This is the special edition Storm version of the Mk1 Scirocco, identifiable by the Zender front spoiler. Only 618 were sold in the UK and this survivor has mega low mileage with just 19,908 on the clock. The car looks expensive but you have to remember that parts are just not available for these cars so restoration of a bad one would cost too much to be viable. This car has been stored from 1998 to 2010 and the new owner has replaced the cambelt and water pump.
